Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing Partners is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support on-site construction operations in Charlottesville, VA. This position plays a key role in coordinating job site activities, ensuring schedules are met, and maintaining clear communication among all project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Be present on the job site to place and accept material orders
• Return unused materials
• Coordinate with the General Contractor, Project Manager, employees, and subcontractors
• Ensure benchmarks, inspections, and project timelines are met
• Attend daily job meetings with the General Contractor
• Conduct toolbox talks for subcontractors and employees
• Maintain job site organization and support overall project execution
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Experience in construction, project coordination, or assistant project management preferred
• Familiarity with mechanical and plumbing (MEP) work is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work on-site and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of construction schedules, inspections, and safety practices
