Vox Pathfinder 15R Model V9168R. The original octocoupler is still working; the trem works as it should. The reverb is NOT working, which is no great loss on this model. The chip that drives the tiny 2 spring tank is underpowered. Almost any reverb pedal will sound better. I use a Wampler Faux Spring with it.
That said, this is a highly regarded 15-watt, 1x8" solid-state combo amplifier produced circa 2002 - 2003. This one was made in Vietnam. Known for delivering authentic "chimey" Vox clean tones and warm, tube-like breakup. The cab is tight. Thin rubber strips were added between chassis and cab to buffer resonant frequency vibration. Every screw was tightened.
The original Vox Bulldog 8” speaker sadly developed some ‘cone cry’ and has been replaced with a new 8” pinstripe PMR from Hempopotamus Loudspeakers. The original speaker is included, in case you want to have it re-coned.
Actual output just over 20 watts. Loud enough for practice, recording, and small gigs. It has a Direct Out on the rear panel, as well as a Speaker Out to run through a larger cab. (It’s either/or; the speaker out turns off the onboard speaker.) There is a headphone jack too. As with many amps, there is a low hiss at idle on clean settings, and more when the Boost is engaged.
Non smoking owners. Not looking for trades.
