I have had this bike for over 10 years, but never used it until I moved here to Charlottesville about 3 years ago. For several months it wsa my daily commuter bike until I moved again and it became too dangerous to use to commute (I would have to ride directly on 29 for a few miles during rush hour). I thought I might use it for fun and exercise after that, but because of my location in town and my car's inability to attach a bike rack, it has been sitting ever since.
The tires are original, but show no signs of rot, have good tread, and hold air just fine. I had fenders installed for commuting in the rain, which was work performed by a professional mechanic. I have also had the brake pads recently replaced, which I did myself. It has a water bottle cage installed as well.
All of the gears work, and it has paddle style shifters, not the type where you twist the handlebar itself. The only damage is cosmetic - one or two spots on the frame have scuffed paint.
Currently asking about a third of what this model costs new for reasons of it's used, it's an older model overall (the new one has disc brakes, for example) and it has a few modifications and scuffs.
