When you�re running for president, it�s hard to outrun your past. Shown in old mugshots, unrepentant terrorist William Ayers (above center), and his wife, Bernadine Dohrn (right), helped launch Barack Obama�s political career by holding a 1995 fundraiser in their Hyde Park home. The event came years after the couple detonated bombs in the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol, and New York City police headquarters.

The campaign to silence those who want to discuss Barack Obama�s close personal relationships with terrorists and card-carrying Communists �associations that undercut Obama�s insistence that he is serious about national security� is well underway.

Michael Kinsley, apologist for things liberal, is already copying the Obama campaign by trying to intimidate critics into not discussing Barack Obama�s connection to his close Hyde Park friends, the unrepentant terrorists William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. Obama�s buddies were on the lam for a decade after successfully detonating bombs in the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol building, and New York City police headquarters. But Obama couldn�t care less about his America-hating friends� past and might have even secretly sympathized with them. And why should Obama care, anyway: he�s the most ideologically consistent, most left-wing major party presidential candidate in modern American history.

But can you imagine what would happen if a conservative running for office were revealed to have a close personal friendship with a terrorist on the extreme right? To use a hypothetical, what if John McCain had a history with Oklahoma City federal building bomber Timothy McVeigh or anti-abortion fanatic Eric Rudolph? Would we ever hear the end of it? Of course not. Even if he distanced himself, the media �including the cackling Kinsley� would bombard him relentlessly.

Kinsley pulls out the but-everybody-did-it defense:

If Obama�s relationship with Ayers, however tangential, exposes Obama as a radical himself, or at least as a man with terrible judgment, he shares that radicalism or terrible judgment with a comically respectable list of Chicagoans and others�including Republicans and conservatives�who have embraced Ayers and Dohrn as good company, good citizens, even experts on children�s issues.

Although it�s probably not going to play in Peoria, it�s all part of the same old playbook. Vilifying conservatives for supposedly being mean-spirited, misanthropic, Fascistic racists bent on a genocidal war against the poor is fair game, but point out the obvious �that today�s liberals are by their very nature not terribly concerned about national security, freedom, and economic growth� and suddenly one has stepped outrageously outside the boundaries of fair comment.

Since 1954 the group which has come to be known as Bilderberg has been meeting annually behind closed doors. It is invite only, and Dick Cheney was director for a short period of time in 2004. Other regular attendees are Henry Kissinger, David Rockefeller, heads of oil, heads of banking, owners and editors of mainstream media and more. It is too bad you feel that way. You are probably ignorant and poor. We all feel sorry for you, but not as much as you feel for yourself. Take three jobs if you have to in order to accumulate wealth. There are many 'black folks' who are financially well ahead of you (and myself). Mr. Obama is very wealthy. By the way, by all standards, he is not black. He is the biggest Oreo on the scene today.
