I also have a 7 y/o tri-colored female, Hannah (pictured w/ Carlie). She has been around small children in the past and would be fine with them. She also gets along great w/ other dogs, loves everybody who will give her some attention. She is also registered and up to date on all of her vaccines. Hannah's also pretty small, she's about 11 lbs.

Both girls are very healthy and have gotten full vet check-ups every year.

Bear is now neutered, UTD on vaccinations, HW negative and UTD on heartguard and Frontline. Bear is house broken and crate trained - but is also trustworthy to be unsupervised in the house. He is great with other dogs, cats, kids, and farm animals (including small animals like chickens and rabbits). Bear has excellent leash manners and rides well in the car. He enjoys trips to the dog park and also knows how to run (leashed) beside a bike.

For the most part Bear has overcome his rough start in life - but he is still learning how to trust people. He is comfortable enough to come up to strangers to sniff/lick them - and will take treats. But he will usually take a few steps back if strange people reach out too quick to try and pet him. Bear LOVES other dogs and is generally more accepting of strange people (and adjusts faster) when other dogs are present. He is also still young and playful and just enjoys his playtime with other dogs. For this reason he is only available to a home with at least one other dog for company. Having that been said - he has excellent canine social skills and would be a good companion for most types of dogs. He's the kind of dog that can come into your home and bond with existing dogs with out making them feel jealous or put out. He is not the type to challenge for dominance, etc. He is polite, respectful and playful all at the same time.

She has really mellowed since coming to Pet Forum. She takes a minute to warm up to you but then gives lots of nose kisses.
JOKER (pictured on left with Tucker) loves belly rubs and wrestling. He has an outstanding pink nose that coordinates with his pink ears hidden under gray fur.
ROCKY (dark tiger stripe) is a loverboy. He likes to curl his paw around your finger and he kind of crawls along on his belly sometimes - very funny!
WALDO (orange and white) loves kids and has a big motor - his purr-er never turns off! And he likes to rest on your shoulder.
TUCKER (pictured on right with Joker) likes to talk and wants your undivided attention. He, like Callie, was rescued from a trailer with 35 cats and a pot-bellied pig.

I am looking for a dependable rider who is interested in riding him once, possibly twice a week. Must be moderately experienced, but more importantly must be a very gentle rider. My horse, Count, is incredibly sweet, willing, and friendly. I'm in school and don't have time to get out as often as he needs. There are 3 rings (1 indoor), a large field, and miles of trails a 2 minute ride away. Barn is located 20 minutes from Charlottesville.

We will be headed up to No VA Oct 31st via 1 81. We will be headed back down via 1 95 Sunday Nov 1st. If you would like to adopt from us we can deliver, if you will meet us along our route for $35 (to help cover our gas) . We hope to go to Charlottesville on up to Mansassas Sat. Then Friday we will come down through Fredericksburg and Richmond via 1 95 to hwy 58 to run back west toward our home in Patrick Co VA. We are located in South Central VA on the NC/VA line.

We are having to relocate our rescue farm. We lost the lease on the farm we have leased for years. In attempt to make re locating easier we have waived the fees on most the adult dogs with a required $25 donation to act as a holding deposit. We have many pups for adoption as well. Their fees range from $65-$75.00. All animals will go to their new homes current on vaccinations, deworming and all adults are on heart worm prevention. All pups must be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age. We can have the adults spayed or neutered that has not been already for $65 of the adopter wishes to do it at our discounted rate. If not they must have the adopted animal spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption. All potential adopters must submit a prescreen application along with a $10 application fee!
