If you care about your Beagles, please do not give or sell them to hunters!
They care nothing about the dogs execpt for their hunting instincts! Therefore, they treat them horribly. I have heard horrid stories! I also know that if a Beagle is gun shy or not the best hunter, they just throw them off the back of the truck and the Beagle is left homeless. It either gets hit by a car or, if lucky, taken to a local shelter. I know this because I had a WONDERFUL pet Beagle who has passed and I now have another pet Beagle. I was told at the shelter that they were dumped by hunters and found wondering the streets hungry and scared.

I am certain there will be those who will respond to this with hateful posts. That's okay... I can handle it... But the poor Beagles deserve a good home.. Ask any Vet or Animal Shelter about how they are treated by hunters.

Fezzik is very playful. He is a very vocal and conversational fellow, and he really gets to purring any time he gets attention. We'd love to keep him, but we already have one other cat and dog, and can't afford the pet fees and pet rent at our new place.

I have, for the most part, had a wonderful experience using CL to find homes for my rescues. However, I have received a fair amount of flaggings as well. To those who have emailed me to tell me that I violate CL rules by using it as a venue for finding homes for animals that I have personally saved from rural shelters, you are wrong. CL welcomes my usage of their site for this purpose. Saving an animal, caring for it in my home and then reaching out to others who might be able to give it a home it deserves is well within terms of use for CL. Also, the fact that I charge an adoption fee has been an issue with some people. I charge roughly $20 per animal and rarely collect on that fee. Considering the fact that I pay about $150 per animal to have them vetted, spayed/neutered and transported from rural shelters, you can hardly accuse me of trying to recoup on my investment.

Hello, my name is Jessie and I am looking for someone to love and someone who will love me. I am a big girl for my age and I love to run, play with my ball, and eat!! I had a rough start in life because my mother's owners separated me from my mother and abandoned me and my brothers in the woods when we were just a few weeks old. I was adopted by a kind, older lady when I was 11 weeks old. She treated me very well-gave me all kinds of good food, lots of bones, and yummy treats. She and I were together 24/7 for 4 months because she began fighting a serious illness shortly after she took me home. I was so happy when we spent all those days side-by-side. We listened to music, ate lots of good food, and did bunches of cuddling. I learned how to throw my ball up in the air and I would chase it for hours. I was very sad (and angry) when my mommy had to go back to work and I began spending long days in my crate. She was still very frail and couldn't keep up with me when we took our walks, so I wasn't getting enough exercise to offset all those long hours in my crate. My mommy cried and cried when she finally accepted the fact that her illness had left her unable to care for me properly. She had lost over 30 lbs. and I had gained at least 35 lbs., and I had become very rambunctious and disobedient as a result of being in my cage so much. I would like to be the only dog in your home and I need to spend lots of time with you. I am not sure I would be content if I have to compete with children for your attention. I've had basic training on an invisible fence and I am housetrained. I need a structured environment, where I do the same things everyday at regular intervals. I eat one bowl of dry dog food every morning and I always get people food for dinner. If I am a good dog, I get a couple of spoons of ice cream before I go to bed each night. My mommy always let me sleep with her and I was allowed on the furniture when I was calm. I would like to find a home with someone who will be comfortable giving me the same things and privileges. Most of all, I need someone who is full of energy, kindness, and patience. In return, I will give you more love and kisses than you ever dreamed of. I saw a small dog- some sort of terrier maybe? Definitely a lap dog (Yorkie/pom sized)- running down the street (Westwood Road) looking very scared and very lost- I have definitely never seen this dog in the neighborhood before. We were able to corral him/her away from 250 and into our cul-de-sac neighborhood but couldn't catch him- very scared.

He ran into one of the backyards over here and we couldn't find him after that, but hopefully if you're looking for him this will help you narrow the search. We'll keep our eyes peeled as well! If you have any tips on how to get him to come to a stranger, let me know!

I have read some disturbing things about lost pets. A lot of times, people will find there pet in there neighbors yards w/ a collar and a name tag and the people have no intention in giving them back. Why would someone do this? Every missing pet has a family that is worried sick somewhere looking and praying and wishing they would come back home. Not to mention its against the law to take in a stray w/out alerting Animal Control or other proper officials. If you want to keep the dog until his owner is found, great! If you want to keep the dog in the case his owner isn't found, great! But PLEASE, make sure you report the stray to officials and don't just keep the dog. Somewhere out there I'm sure there is a family who is looking, praying, crying, not sleeping and in some cases not even eating, because there pet/family member is out there on his own somewhere. A sittuation that might have been resolved already if you would have alerted officials.

Dasher, we love you boy and will continue to look for you until your home where you belong. Just please find enough strength and courage to make it home. We have your bed clean and waiting for you w/ your favorite toy!

I bought my daughter 2 ferrets 2 months ago, and she is allergic to them. We would love to keep them, but my daughter is really suffering. We have been litter training them, and they are going pretty good with it. They are very sweet!!! Everything comes with them, litter pans, litter, food and leashes.

The ferrets may NOT be caged. They are used to running around a bedroom, and hate to be caged.

I would like to have visitation once in a while.

House trained, K9 Basic training graduate, very intelligent and wants to please. Zeke is a Border Collie/German Shepherd who is 84 lbs. and 2 years old. He is soft, fuzzy, can tell you when he's hungry or thirsty or needs out. He is driven, which would make him an excellent candidate for search and rescue or further obedience training. He needs lots of exercise or a job, loves to catch frisbee, and swim, and walks with perfect manners. It is breaking my heart that I can't find this great dog a home, even SPCA is full and won't take him at this time. I know most people think if he is so wonderful why give him up, and this is why. Zeke is active and needs active people, we aren't now that my husband is working nights and sleeping all day, Zeke needs space to run around and we live in a duplex, and Zeke needs lots of attention, but with one parent sleeping all day and the other working, all he does is cry. It isn't fair to Zeke that our situation is the way it is and he needs out, can't someone help! Do you know of an organization where they would take him? Do you have in your heart room for a big dog? Let everyone know Zeke in in urgent need. His sanity is at stake.

We have 4 teenage bunnies born March 15th that need good homes.
Strawberry is an all white albino female.
Chocolate is an all brown female.
Tut (originally Cleo until we found out he was a boy) is all white with black around his eyes.
Junior (also a boy) is white with black markings on his back, ears and around his eyes. He looks just like his dad (Marshmellow).
Believe it or not all four bunnies are from the same litter of "9" born in March by their mama Vanilla.
Bunnies are loving and fragile creatures. They can live up to 10 years if taken care of with love and the right attention. These buns are very loved and I really would like them to go to homes that are committed to continuing the care they have had so far.
We have a total of 11 bunnies which is too many for me to afford to neuter and feed.

I have acquired 2 beautiful Sun Conures. The female, Carmen is 7 years old. The male, Joey is 5 years old. The birds are bonded and will breed if a breeding box is introduced. I have not bred them nor do I intend to do so. I rescued these birds from a pet shop where they were living in poor conditions. They are healthy and all of their feathers are in tack. I have built some trust with them and they will eat out of my hand but they don't like to be touched. Therefore I have not had a lot of handling time with them. They are sweet and they will not attack when you open the cage. Other than that, I really don't know alot about these birds. I felt so sorry for them, so I bought them and gave them a good home where I knew they would be fed and could live in a clean enviroment. However, I need to return to work full time and I work long hours, so I must find a good home for them. I don't have the time to give them to continue their rehabilitation. I will be sending them to their new home with their cage, toys, food, etc. There is an adoption fee of 600.00. I have paid well over that rehabilitating these birds, not to mention the fee to rescue them from the pet store. I will not sell to any pet shops or those that intend to breed these birds for money! Zeke needs a new home soon. Ours is not big enough to contain his spirit! He is a 2 year old German Shepherd/ Border Collie, 84lbs of play, play, play. Zeke knows all his commands of sit, down, stay, heel and (shen he wants to... come) He passed his basic obedience class and his trainer said he was by far the most intelligent dog he has trained as far as paying attention and learning new things. Zeke wants to work, he wants to be busy, which is why he needs a new home as we have a very busy family ourselves and little time for him. He needs an active person, that isn't us. He needs a job like herding, being a running partner, search and rescue, again not us. So won't someone help find this amazing dog a home. A cul-de-sac is no place for Zeke. Spike is a 5 month old chihuahua who is looking for a good home. Although I hate having to part with him, I am an over the road truck driver, and I just started with a company who doean't allow pets in their trucks.
I have given him his shots, and he hasn't been neutered, as we were waiting until he was 6 months old to do that and get him his rabies shots.
He still needs work on his potty training. We have been working with him on it, and he will go if you take him outside, but is not to the point where he will tell you he needs to go out.
The only kids he has been around is my 2 year old granddaughter, who likes to chase him. Because of that, he is afraid of her and has snapped at her a couple of times, so older kids would probably be better. He gets along fine with our cat.
He likes to lay outside in the sun for long periods of time, so a fenced yard would be great too!
I have to leave on Monday, so I need to find him a home this weekend, or will have to take him to the shelter. We are asking for a $100 re-homing fee. Please e-mail me with a phone number if you are interested and I will contact you.

I've been feeding a cat family (all born in the woods)for about 9/10 months, but about 1 month ago 5 more kittens showed up at dinnertime and they never left. 2 days ago a single little kitten (gray and white) joined the company,and on top of everthing else,I think one of the older females is already pregnant again. I'm really struggling to keep up with all of them, but I just can't allow them to end up in a shelter and put to sleep if nobody wants them. Anyone out there willing to help in any way (adoption,veterinary services and/or suggestions or anything else?). I haven't been able to pet the little ones yet, but I believe at least 4 of the 6 are females. I estimate the little ones to be about 8 weeks old, except for the last one (gray/white maybe 6 weeks old??)If anyone wants to adopt, please make sure you are a cat lover and can take care of them. No farmers looking for food for wild dogs and coyotes. I made a little video of them, with a link to some pictures I took about 3 weeks ago(the date on the pics is set wrong).
