This is an 11-piece set, although I don't believe the 2 angels were part of the original set. The set was bought in Vienna in 1972, but each piece sports a label on the bottom indicating they were made in Japan. Go figure. All pieces are in excellent condition, the largest measuring about 4" high.

This pen is made from wood trimmings from the white oak tree known as the "Jackson Prayer Tree" which stands near Mount Meridian, Virginia. "Stonewall" Jackson held Sunday worship service under this tree on June 14 and 15, 1862. The scene is depicted in the engraving, "Prayer in 'Stonewall' Jackson's Camp," by J.C. Buttre. The tea kettle is Santa Claus and the lid is his hat (it comes off). His belt with bells is the handle and the pipe he's smoking is where it comes out. There are four tiny cups - all painted red with reindeer as the handles. All have Department 56 on the bottom. One cup is chipped (just think of it as the tea cup in Beauty and the Beast). Looks great as a centerpiece on your dining room table during the Christmas season.

Tea pot is 7 inches tall and 9 inches wide to Santa's pipe.
Cups are 3 inches by 3 inches by 3 inches

Seven Christmas Village Houses for sale. All but one takes lights (I have the light strings already).

Houses available are
1. A blue paneled Victorian house with bricks along the part with the front door and snow all across roof. Measurements are 8 inches wide by 9 3/4 inches tall to its turret

2. A beige home that says "Village Marketplace" on front. It has been cracked but glued back together with no pieces missing. Resembles an old tavern building. Measurements are 10 inches wide by 8 inches tall.

3. Two-tier building with a green roof and beige paint with a shingle that says "Antiques." It measures 7 inches wide by 9 inches tall to its turret's roof.

4. "Art Gallery" which is painted to look like it's made from bricks. It is 4 1/2 inches wide by 8 1/2 inches tall.

5. Small church is 4 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches tall to its steeple.

6. Small cottage (doesn't have place for a light). It is 3 1/2 inches wide by 4 inches tall.

7. Country home - a yellow color with a brown shingled roof and a bike on the side. There is a chip on the back of the chimney you can't see from the front. It's 8 inches wide by 6 1/2 inches tall.

I also have a table we made with tiers so the houses can be displayed on one table and can be seen whole. It's made with a substance that is supposed to look like snow. I can get the recipe and give you the board with this if you want to fix it up. It looks really great with small people pretending to sled on it and such!

Rare Ancient Stone Ax Head from Early Americas (Ruckersville) $12000

This is a carved stone ax head found in the New England area, buried approx. 4-5 feet deep off of the bank of the Connecticut River, at the base of a mountain and preserved in pristine condition. It is 10-12 inches in length and weighs 12-15 pounds. At this size and shape it is likely that it was used as a tool and/or weapon by early residents of the Americas. It was professionally dated at being 9000-15000 years old, although there is a possibility it might be much older than that. There is also a red pigmentation at the front of the stone that hints to the fact that it was likely used for killing or skinning.
