They used the best translators, carefully chosen illustrators from across the world to match the author's style, often spectacular typography, and then supplied a descriptive booklet (the "Sandglass") to tell us about the author, the work, and the pains taken to produce this edition.

At one time my family had the whole set and treated books with respect. You can tell, especially after all these years.
