I have a laser sailboat that's been sitting beside my house for 2 years now. I'd really love to use it, but am not able to move it easily with my car (cost of owning a hybrid instead of an SUV I guess).

If someone has a place that might be suitable for sailing where I could leave my boat and use it I'd definitely let you use it too!

Horse Camp located in Fluvanna County.

Welcome to bring your own horse or borrow one of ours. Every day the camp includes riding, hands on learning demonstations, craft times, and small horse shows. All the camp dates are different so you will learn different things about horses daily. Example: parts of the horse, pulling a horses mane, braiding, banding, horse health, farrier supplies, bathing a horse properly, different disiplines, breeds and colors, and etc. Lunch, snacks, drinks are provided.

Dates: July 11th, July 14th, and August 3rd.
$60.00 per child per day. Time 8:00 - 5:00 if need be and this does not fit your schedule we can be available to let your child come earlier and/or stay later.

Week long camp: July 21st - July 25th
$300.00 per child for the week

Here is the schedule for that week. (Day camps very similar only different topics)

Day 1:

8:00 - 9:00 Meet the horses and others in camp (Group Activity)

9:00 - 10:00 Go over the proper way to tack up

10:00 - 11:30 Ride / group lesson (may be split)

11:30 - 12:00 Cool down horses / Spray horses off

12:00 - 1:00 Lunch (provided)

1:00 - 2:00 Demonstation (Parts of the horse) Kids will
put sticky notes on there horse to show where the parts are.

2:00 - 2:15 Clean out stalls

2:15 - 3:30 Craft time

3:30 - 3:45 Snack

3:45 - 4:45 Demonstration (Pulling a horses mane) The kids
will do there horse

4:45 - pickup Free time and question time option to groom
or just hangout in the barn

We are a first class riding facility. We offer private and semi-private lessons. The lessons last around 1 1/2 hours. We don't only teach you how to ride and look good on a horse but we also teach you horse safety, horse anatomy, basic care of the horse, grooming, tacking up, parts of the saddle, and etc. We think that it is important to teach this so you have basic knowledge of the animal. We have the horses but if lessons on your horse is needed we can also do that.

Our facility offers: 12 X 12 Stalls, hot/cold wash stall, 2 bathrooms, heated/cooled tack room, over looking deck, large arena, oppurtunity to go to horse shows if one should desire and trail rides if one desires.

Meet wonderful folks for fun weekday walks and weekend hikes. We are welcoming those with well behaved dogs and include our pups in most of our adventures. Hikes are anywhere between 1-5 hours long. Shorter walks (Walnut Creek, Pen Park, Chris Greene Lake), longer hikes and occasional overnight camping is definitely a possibility. This area offers several wonderful lakes most of which offer swimming, picnic areas, and are great places for some easy afternoon kayaking! Socials and picnics at local vineyards are on the list!
